Recent years have seen a resurgence of geocentrist apologetics corresponding to (but smaller than) the resurgence of creationist apologetics

Strict Biblical literalism requires geocentrism, however public knowledge of astronomy is sufficient so that most creationists consider geocentrism a liability and adjust their apologetics accordingly.
