IS THIS A WEBQUEST
I SEE BEFORE ME?
Congratulations!

You are a very promising young Hollywood director, and you are almost ready to begin filming your first and most anticipated work.  Seeing as though nobody is coming up with new ideas anymore, you are filming a new screen version of
Macbeth

All you have left to do is cut one more scene from
Macbeth, which is a difficult decision.  Luckily, you've narrowed it down to two choices: the "porter scene" at the beginning of Act 2, scene 3, and Hecate's scene--Act 3, scene 5.

Of course, you'll have to plan ahead...

As a new director, you are going to have to be ready to defend your decisions.

Whichever part you choose to omit, it wil upset at least one person.  The casting is already complete, and one of your actors will have their parts reduced considerably.  Without the "porter scene," the porter has no part.  Without Hecate's scene, she has only a few lines

If they get the media involved, things could get messy.  That is why it is important to do careful research and keep very specific notes about your findings.

If you can't back up your decision, your first movie could be your last!
