Bartlesville Public Library Suggestions
Bartlesville is in Oklahoma, so you know.  They break their list down into genres for you (isn't that sweet?)  Just be sure if you're looking for your Book Review that the books you choose are by American authors and that you get my approval on the artistic merits.  (Which, of course, you will be doing anyway, right?)

These websites want you to buy their books, and that is convenient for us because they try to whet your appetite with reviews, professional and amateur, as well as a few pages of the books, sometimes.  So you might try . . .

Bestsellers, etc.
This has links to various bestseller lists of the moment.  Very a la mode.  Just keep in mind that Harry Potter is not American.  There are also some genre break downs.  Very handy.
The Modern Library's 100 Best
Not so long ago, the Modern Library put out a list of the best novels written in the English language in the 20th century.  It's a pretty typical list, but watch out for those Brits!  (Remember:  American literature)
