How to change your creature without losing its mind:
REMEMBER, after playing a while (when your creature
had learned new things for instance), if you want to change your creature and
keep its actual mind, you MUST repeat the following steps.
1 – Launch the program “BWCreatureChange.exe”
2 – Choose your profile in the profile list:
In the above picture, only one profile is available on
(my) computer, it’s the profile for the user “Bruno”. Remember, B&W is
adding “_” signs between each letter of your profile name.
3 – Click on the chosen profile. The interface should
look like that now (creature file could change for you):
The “creature file” field contain the filename of your
creature AI that’s very important in order to be sure that you will keep your
actual creature’s mind during the change. BEFORE CONTINUING IT IS RECOMMEND
THAT YOU BACKUP THIS FILE (just in case...). Something goes wrong you just have
to replace that file (here the file is H:\Black &
White\Scripts\CreatureMind\C4a608c80.erc) with your backup.
A line appears indicating the class of your current
creature (here it’s a Gorilla)
4 – Select the new creature you want (here a Lion is
chosen). Click on the button “Change creature type”. A text line indicates the
new creature type “Your current creature is a ....” (see picture above).
5 – Done !! You have nothing else to do !
I hope it will work fine for you, but as usual “I
cannot be held responsible for any damage that program could do to your
computer, etc... You can freely redistribute that proggy wherever you want
according you .. doh... according nothing, it’s free !”.

PS: Thanks to “La taverne Black and White” (http://blackandwhite.gameloft.fr/realmain/recent_news.php)
for the infos.
PS2: my bloody B&W keeps crashing on level 3 when
my creature is taken in hostage by Lethis !!! Every time I try to save after 15
minutes of game, I have a runtime error, ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!!!
PS3: if anyone as savegame at the begining of level 4,
it would help me a lot, I cannot finish that brilliant game cause of that
bloody bug !
