12th July 2001 -  LCC Soccer goes live !!

        The LCC Soccer website went live today although there is a lot of work left to do!  The Links and becoming a star sections are now fully operative and the contact us feature has been installed. Soon we hope to have the roster section done. Finally we are looking to find a long serving member of the club who would be willing to write a history section showing the developments of the club.

15th July 2001 - Knoop, Her, Podleski, Taylor, Olatunde commit for 2001-2002

        The first five players who will definitely be returning to the squad were announced today. Goalkeeper/Defender Steve Taylor will return as will the defensive pairing of Dylan Podleski and Seth Knoop. The stars also received the good news that midfielder Tex (Oladinni Olatunde) and Blong Her, last years second top scorer, will also return. The coaching staff hope to announce further commitments in the coming days.

15th July 2001 - Four Defenders Leave (Decker, Julian, Davis, Grauer) 

        LCC lost one of its best players when defender and captain Mike Decker announced that he would not return to LCC. Mike has accepted a full scholarship at Spring Harbor college. Also a late newcomer too the team, Julian, a defender/midfielder announced that he would play for Indiana State in the fall. 

Lee Jordan Grauer leaves as he is transferring to a four year institution. Finally Derek Davis will not return to the squad due to work commitments  

17th July 2001 - Web page progress

        The main roster page is now fully operational although all the player details are yet to be completed. Since you are reading this you know that the news section is now online as well. There are no archived sections yet as the site is so new.

17th July 2001 - Summer Training

        Although official training will not start until the first week of fall semester, summer training arranged by squad members is hoping to start in the first few weeks of August. Details of a club meeting, the schedule for fall

18th July 2001 - Schedule Released   

        The schedule was released today and is as follows, the first fixture is yet to be finalized and is subject to change:

18th July 2001 - Dates Available

        LCC  is looking for warm-up games to play before the new season, the dates we have available are August 24th or the 26th.

20th July 2001 - Cole commits, Lopez leaves

        Midfielder and 2000 co-captain Eric Cole said he would return for the 2000 season. Eric played in all games last year. Also midfielder Juan Lopez, the oldest player on the LCC Squad will not return next year. There is a lot of competition for places and playing time could have been severely limited.

25th July 2001 - Sarhan Commits, Al-Ghandhi returns to Saudi Arabia   

        Osama Sarhan committed today for the 2001 season. Osama played most games last year and is considered an important member of the squad. However fellow countrymen Yousef Al-Ghandhi has returned home to Saudi Arabia after completing his studies in the US. Yousef played the first half of the 2000 season but had to leave the team due to family commitments. 

25th July 2001 - Nordin, Sheets return, others not retained

        Mike Nordin will return to the squad next year to compete for playing time, Mike did not get much playing time in 2000 but hopes to compete more in 2001. Utility player Joey Sheets will also return but is currently on a trip rebuilding an orphanage in South America. The following players who played at some stage last year will also not be returning, either because the coaches felt they could not add to the squad or they did not apply for re-admission: John Howell, Richard Badin, Adel Dattendan, Jefferey Bostelaar, Dan Olanrewaju and Ryan Crammer.

25th July 2001 - Final Commitments to come

        There are now only a couple of players we are waiting to hear from, they are: Nick Baxter, Scott Jettis, Chelo, Alberto Centeno, as well as goalkeeper Mark Nelson
