Monitoring Well
Definition:   A well constructed to monitor groundwater quality as required by the KDHE permit for a confined animal feeding operation.

Purpose:    A monitoring well installed as art of a groundwater monitoring system to be used along with a Groundwater Monitoring Plan to provide  for characterization of the groundwater quality at a confined anial feeding operation.

Conditions Where Practice Applies:
       This practice applies to a confined animal feeding operation where the distance to groundwater and the soils are sch that the quality of the groundwater under the facility needs to be monitored for possible contamination.
