Grassed Waterway or Outlet
Definition:   A constructed waterwayor outlet shaped or graded and established in vegetation (grass or cro), as needed, for the safe disposal of runoff from a field, diversion, terrace, or other structure.

Purpose:    To provide for the disposal of excess surface water from terraces, diversions, or from natural concentrations withot damage by erosion or flooding.

Conditions Where Practice Applies:
     The grassed waterway practice applies where added capacity or vegetative protection, or both, are required and designed for the shaping of natural waterways or side field outlets to control erosion resulting from concentrated runoff where such control cna be achieved by grassed waterways alone or in combination with other practices.
