The Death Toll

Any time soon, a war could start. As of yet, no one has paid attention to how young Americans feel about the matter, or the consequences of the war.
What about the cost of life? How many people, American and foreign, will be injured and killed as a result of the violence? In the past hundreds have died because of war. How will the country react to losing that many people again, especially the new generation of Americans waiting for a reason to rebel. Darrell Sheets, 18, says, “The war is a waste of lives.” He continued, “We’re sacrificing solders for our cell phones and foreign cars.” The number remains unknown until the end, but there should be some thought of those who suffer.
Another point to take into consideration, the people who are left behind to take care of America. Many families will be broken, businesses will lose employees and collages will lose many students. Seventy percent of the Navy’s recruits in the area come from LC, according to recruiter HT2(SW) Ryan Wedekind. The nation as a whole will suffer from it.
Even though the war seems terrible, some good will come because of it. The issues of Osama Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and terrorism will be solved by war, some believe. Many others around the world plead for President Bush to come up with a better, less violent, solution.
War or not, the world will continue to suffer because of the way the economy in other countries works. Still, is war the solution to the problem?

Bin Laden’s sons may have been injured or captured. “Allied forces” including U.S. forces near Rabat carried out a raid, were the boarders of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan converge. Sanaullah Zehu, home minister of Baluchistan province, informed the public that this is what he heard.
Rumors of bin Ladens capture aren’t true, according to White House spokesman, Ari Fleischer. U.S. and Pakistani officials intensified the search for bin Laden on Thursday, March 6, due to these rumors.
President Bush said Tuesday, March 4, he would not stop until bin Laden was captured. Bush warns, “there is no cave deep enough” to hide the al-Queda leader. During a speech promoting his $5.9 billion campaign to fight bio-terrorism, Bush noted news stories that bin Laden had escaped and may never be found.
