DATELINE: FEBRUARY, 2000

Many thanks to Michael Scott of the Texas Pelican for his donation check. Volunteers are needed for the positions of Fundraising Chairman, Publicity Chairman, Program Chairman, and Newsletter Chairman. Get involved.
New board members are Debbie Ford, president; Eddie Melton, vice president; Ray Gardner, treasurer; Sandy Lewis, secretary. "Stay tuned!" More to come.....

DATELINE: JUNE 1999

We have lots of new members but we can always use more. Just see Sandy Lewis at any concert. We recently had a nice "spread" in the Lake Charles American Press. Looked good! We can always use a little extra sponsorship for the purchase of new music and equipment. If you would like to help just contact Debbie. Would you like to be on our mailing list? Just contactAtten: Susan. .

LCCB NEWS

We have a home. This past Tuesday the LCCB Board made the decision to secure rehearsal and office space at the Central School in downtown Lake Charles. Now we have a new place to play and a place for our stuff. Now all we need is stuff...if anyone has any leads on percussion equipment, contact Debbie.

We also have a new conductor. Rod Lauderdale has decided to quit "acting" and be the music director. Since he is doing the Messiah again this year, and this group and about half the other community groups in town have rehearsals on Monday nights, the Board has decided to move rehearsals to Tuesday nights for a while. Rehearsals will be from 6:30 to 8 pm. Herman Vincent will be assisting Rod with some of the conducting this year. It will be nice to see his face around again.

We have a webmaster. Greg English has come forward to help get this up and running. He has stated that in the near future with will have our own personalized address of "lccband.com". He and Rod are working out the details at this time.
