SWANSEA COMMUNITY CENTRE on Tuesday and Thursday at 1730 and on Saturday at 1000 hours.

TOC Executive at work

November 1st. Juniors are doing well in regional meets. The team won in Rochester, NY. Harvey Mitro sent a letter to the Club thanking us for support of his summer camp. Paul met with the Royal Canadian Legion and the dates are set for 2002 competitions. The budget is near balance. Paul Poce will attend a meeting to see about the setting up of a community sports council. Preparations for TOC AGM, club handicap and OTFA AGM were reviewed and debated. TOC will seek to have the coaches’ fee levy rescinded. TOC would like there to be an international class track meet in Toronto next summer. There was discussion about how to make this come about. The club has 143 members, 87 are registered with OTFA and 47 are coached. Many members train alone. This is a concern because group training usually raises the quality of the work out and improves team performance.
Next executive meeting is to be held on January 3rd at 2000 hours at Swansea Town Hall. There will be news of the December executive meeting and the AGM in the next issue.
