Car wash Fundraiser (Febuary 9th Saturday)
Meet at the Mobil gas station on the corner of Bellflower and Carson. We start at 9am and we should be done by about 4pm. Everyone please bring at least one old towel for the car wash. There is NEVER enough dry towels at a car wash. For every 4 hrs of work you do, a $25 credit goes towards your new uniform funds.

The Seventh Annual Rocky Point Triathlon has been named the USAT Southwest Collegiate Championship. It is scheduled for April 13 on the same flat and fast (and perhaps just a touch breezy) course. Athletes who are enrolled at their college or university and enter with their collegiate team will be entitled to enter at the reduced rate of $50 per individual entry. Last year several teams did not get to participate in the banquet due to the banquet being sold out. This year there will be great weather and the banquet and awards ceremony returns in all its glory to Plaza Las Glorias. In order that collegiate teams can attend the banquet, we will reserve 125 tickets for collegiate athletes. All that we ask is that your collegiate team representative make a reservation for the number of tickets needed by March 10 and payment is received by April 1st. These special arrangements are being extended to collegiate athletes only as we expect to completely sell out of banquet tickets by March 10.
Collegiate Triathlon National Championship
The Collegiate Triathlon National Championship will be held April 20, 2002
in Memphis, TN on the Memphis in May Triathlon course. This will be the
USAT sanctioned National Collegiate Championship. Information regarding this event will be posted on the Collegiate Triathlon Association website within the next month. Check the CTA website for more information and updates.
WILDFLOWER 2002 (Open division sold out!!)
Please select Collegiate division and Long Beach State University when signing up. Remember to register as early as you can as this race sells out almost immediately every year.
Team Lockers
Everyone who had a team locker from last semester needs to see me and get a new locker slip so you can keep your locker. Anyone who needs a big locker can contact me.
Extra units
If anyone needs an extra unit or wants to learn more about triathlons, there is a class available for Spring 2002. If you need more extra units, please let me know. I can help you out. KPE 198B Triathlon Fitness.
