690's Little Helper

A project by

Feeling flummoxed by the jargon? Bewildered? Technophobic? Has Gralla got you down? Did the official help links leave you more in a dither than ever?

Or do you just want to know more about this fascinating stuff?

Well you've come to the right place.

LBSC 690 -- Information Technology -- is one of the core courses in the MLS program at CLIS, the College of Information Studies, at the University of Maryland. It may be a bear, or it may be a breeze, depending on the student's abilities and interests. But we're here to help.

We have convenient links to the current (Summer 2000) Course Home Page, to the Syllabus, to Professor Allen's Home Page, and to the GA's Help Sheets.

We've also selected several main topics (or sets of topics) from the current 690 itinerary. For pages specific to those topics, simply click the buttons at left. To return to this page, you can always click HOME. And for direction to some real, old-fashioned, non-digital, pulp and glue books (available via online bookstores), click TEXTS.

We hope you'll find what you need on our site! If there are any problems, comments, or suggestions, drop one of us a line.
