| {Character Info} {Name} Mibu Oriya {Who?} He is first introduced to us in the Kyoto arc, as Muraki's "high-school" pal (altho... yeah... seems to be much more than just friendship between those two... well at least on behalf of Oriya - OriyaxMuraki?) {Character Traits} Even though Oriya is Muraki's best friend, and we all know that Muraki is The Bad-Guy, Oriya doesn't seem to be an evil guy at all, and you sometimes wonder (as he does too) why he's friends with Muraki. He makes it clear that he disapproves of Muraki's actions, but doesn't attempt to control him. Oriya seems to maintain many japanese traditions, he's always dressed in a kimono, smokes a kiseru, wields a katana, etc... Oriya's character is most likely influenced by his sword-fighting. He is straightforward, loyal, respectful and just. He seems cold at first, but we see that he is capable of showing great emotions. {Profession} He is apparently the head of the family and owner of a restaurant, KoKakuRou, which hides a high-class geisha house for powerful politicians. Oriya inherited the geisha house from his father, as it had been family-run for generations, and sometimes hints that he'd rather be doing something else if he had the choice. {Skills} Oriya is an amazing swordsman (think cutting falling momiji leaves clean in half... ^^') and in most scenes he is in, he is seen holding his katana (along with his trademark kiseru). |
