I decided to save a few
A little pink ribbon and some baby's breath
And some sweet yellow roses, two.
And then seven months later I miscarried twins
And I recieved flowers, once again
This time red roses, I had to save three
Two for the twins and another baby
(I had miscarried long before)
I noticed today how my boquet has grown
I added more flowers' cause two weeks ago
In spite of my hope I miscarried again.
And received flowers from a dear friend.
They don't smell like much and the colors aren't bright
To some it might be a pitiful sight
But, I resist the temptation to throw it away
I can't, I love it, my dried up bouquet
I wouldn't be fair to fail and say
I have a living healthy bouquet
Six girls and a boy, so glad they are here
They make the losses such easier to bear
And so it is in the garden of life
Some flowers live and some of them die
But all are loved whether they go or they stay
All of them together are my precious bouquet
Till we meet again
