| This is the hen house I plan on building in the near future. The measurements are not on the drawing, but I will give you a little overview of what everything is. If you want the exact measurements, please sign my guestbook, and I will get them out to you as soon as possible. The location of the hen house is going to be in the current location of my garden. This is making me incorporate a new garden with the henhouse. There will be a "breezeway" in between the garden and hen house, with a trellace for peas (not beans because they are poisonous to chickens) to grow up from the garden. There is a window on the breezeway side of the coop, and the sliding door slides infront of that window. The coop is shingled to match my house, and the garden will be made out of stone. The roof will be 3-tab, and it will match my house's roof. The yard/coop will be 6ftx6ft, and the coop will be off the ground 3 feet, with a dept of 2.5 feet, and a length of 6 feet. The roof height will vary between 5.5ft and 6.5ft. There will be rafters to holdup the roof that will act as a sort of "decoration." As you can see, some of them will stick out over the garden, and back of henhouse. If you have any suggestions for my design, please tell me. I would love to hear your opinions!!! |
