| Hannah has been with us as of today for the big 100 days!!! It's been quite a ride, and from what they tell us, it will be a ride that continues for the next 18 years or so. I can't promise that Daddy' Journal will be up and running 5000 days from now, but for right now, Daddy is quite pleased to be documenting Hannah's progress towards that number! If the president of the US gets a 100 day report card, I think Hannah should get one too. Her grades to date are as follows: 1) Cuteness A+ 2) Slow and Steady Growth A+ 3) Strength and Capacity of Lungs A+ 4) Wailing - Distance Traveled A+ 5) Poop Generation A+ 6) Ability to minimize parents sleep A+ 7) Quantity and Quality of Goofy Sounds made while sleeping A+ 8) Making total strangers helplessly say "OOH-GOO-DOO-BOO" A+ 9) Ability to melt parents hearts when smiling A+ 10) 'That New Baby Smell' A+ Needless to say, Mommy and Daddy are quite pleased with these remarkable grades, and believe that Hannah is well prepared to get into Harvard. Of course, Daddy is the one doing the grading, and is slightly biased. |
| As there are many people I work with that only understand the semantics of Information Technology (IT), I have translated the above report card into a special quality-assurance grading system for computer geeks: 1) Scalability - Outstanding ability to grow onward and upward 2) Availability - Parents are available 24x7 to service feedings and poopings 3) Maintainability - Moderate to Outstanding depending on levels of sleep attained 4) Portability - Moderate to Improving - starting to tolerate being in the carseat 5) Flexibility - Moderate to Suprising, with legs and arms flailing when overstimulated 6) Responsiveness - Starting to smile at Daddy's goofy faces 7) Throughput of Diaper Changes - Moderate to Impatient 8) Volume and Inflow/Outflow of Milk - excellent, though sometimes too much outflow 9) Time to Market - Although released while still in beta, there is high confidence in the still-iterating production version of Hannah 10) Quality - In every possible way imaginable! From head to burp to toe!! |
