Who we are____________________

As the first national secret society for women (1867) modeled after the Greek-letterfraternities of men, Pi Beta Phi has always been, and remains today, at the forefront of Greek life. Pi Beta Phi has a rich heritage and a tradition of excellence which continues in its 133rd year.  From the beginning, Pi Phis have striven for academic excellence, service to their community, and the cultivation of new friendships. At Pi Phi, academic and social excellence is rewarded annually in the form of national undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Pi Phis join together in their effort to raise money for our many philanthropic projects. The main philantropy is the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Our other altruistic projects include Links to Literacy, Arrow in the Arctic, and the Emma Harper Turner Fund.  At Pi Beta Phi, a sincere interest in individual accomplishment and development help share the special friendships and unity that distinguish Pi Phi within the Greek community. Most of all, Pi Phis enjoy each other, and spending memorable years with great friends.
