Change of Training Night
Due to changes over the Christmas break there has been a change of training nights from Monday and Wednesday to Monday and Thursday. Please remember our coaches are volunteers and this change of training nights is due to the new coaches having other commitments on Monday and Wednesday nights.
Next Competition
The next competition is at PCYC Judo Club on Sunday, 21'st of March 2004. Players should check with the coaches to see if they can compete. All paremts and club members are welcome to attend and cheer for any of our members who are competing.
New Club Committee
The club AGM was held on May 20'th and all positions were declared vacant. When the dust settled, there was a maximum change of personnel. Every position now has a new member. The new Club President is Duane Barclay and the Secretary is John Sallabank. The role of club coach has changed since the AGM due to Coaches being posted for Defence reasons. John Sallabank is currently coaching on Monday and Thursday nights with the aid of 1st Dan Tim Moon from PCYC Judo Club helping the Club out on Monday nights. Larrakeyah Barracks Judo Club thanks Tim for his help and support. The club profusely thanks all outgoing committee members for their efforts. Particular thanks to Therese Cousins. She has been the club Treasurer and for approximately five years and she is always the one doing all the many little things that everyone else lets slip by. She has really been the backbone, heart and soul of the club for several years. Thanks Therese.
