A Path
By Xenta
A path seldom ventured for a girl like me
Few times have I traveled down this road
And yet now today Im farther then ever
With less steps then I can remember
The farther I go the hard it seems
That it is for me to turn away
It seems almost right to be
Here in this place but
How do I know if Im all alone
Theres no way to tell if you are the same
With no clues to follow how can I know
Ive try to leave hints and plant the idea
But for all of my effort I still stand alone
Here on this path I tried to avoid
How can one person hold such power?
To cause me to want to change my direction
Do you even notice me standing alone?
There once was a time when Id have run
The complete other way
I fight tooth and nail to avoid such a path
Yet you brought me here in a dream
I never thought I could go this far
I never knew I could even want to
Theres no turning back from this now
I must walk on this path
I hope you decide to walk with me
No matter how far the end.
