| Roadkill - Roadkill tells the story of Jenny(Danielle Lozeau) a typical teen that like many kids today makes the mistake of drinking and driving. While speeding down the road she throws an empty bottle out the window and gets distracted for a split second and hits a wanderer(Kevin Cirone). The mysterious man doesn't take nicely to being hit by a car and left for dead and acts out his bloody revenge.
This is my second time around reviewing this short and I can tell you not much has change in my initial opinion of the film. Kevin Cirone who probably could kick ass and take names as a lead in a drama just doesnt do it for me as the sinister type. He's more Ben Affleck than Christian Bale(American Psycho). The complete opposite of Decoff's character in Snuff. But who knows with the announcement of Roadkill 2 he could very well prove me wrong the next time around. Danielle Lozeau does double duty on Detour Vol. 1 and I have to tell you that she lights up the screen everytime theres a scene with her in it. Roadkill receives a 3 out of 5 The Devil's Window - Three girls(Danielle Lozeau, Katherine Ryan, Molly Cranna) one night try to conjure up the spirits with their ouija board. Opening the gates to the other side that they cannot closed. Here we have the bonus short from director Tim Whitfield. This is a complete contrast to the first film which is more in your face while Devils is more about character development and carefully crafting the storyline and plot. Danielle Lozeau was great playing the bitchy friend whom has no shame in admitting that she slept with the boyfriend of Katherine Ryans character. And all three play off each other very well in each scene. The plot twist at the end through me completely off and made the short worthwhiled. The Devil's Window receives a 4 out 5 Detour Into Madness Vol. 1 packs a lot into 90 mins. And I can say that all involved should be proud of the final product. I hope to see more of what Joe Patnaud has to offer in the future as well as the entire Timberwolf Team.
