| Greetings family and friends! For various reasons I will not be spending six months at the orphanage - instead, I will be travelling beginning in early March. Travel in SE Asia is difficult to plan to say the least - so the best I could give you would be an estimate itenerary (which has a habit of evolving every other day)! Some destinations on the chalkboard include Northern Malaysia, the southern peninsula of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam?, Laos?, and India. So... as you can tell, having enough possibilities is NOT a problem, deciding the best way to spend my time, and my money remains a challenge. My two months in Thailand have been filled to the brim so far -- many unexpected negative problems came up (good learning opportunities?), as well as many unexpected wonderful people and experiences. I'm happy to report that aside from my sense of humor, I think I remain unchanged at this point (things become really funny when people are falling over with AIDS and dogs are being stoned to death in the middle of the road).
