Last year I started chatting in a well know chat room, and met who I thought was a truely wonderful man, we would chat for hours, he had a great sense of humor, and always made me feel very special. The friendship progressed to phone calls, I had his home number, as well as his work number, and he had mine. I should tell you that he did tell me he was married, and had kids, which should have sent off a red alert, but we just got so close I ignored it, besides he told me how miserable he was, and that he was leaving his wife. Well as things went on, we decided we had to meet in person, and we did, it was magic. He treated me like a queen, and we had the best 2 days together. We continued to chat, and met a few more times. Then one day quite by accident I heard of someone describing meeting someone, and the story was just like mine, the room , the meal, even the same sweet talk. I didn't know this lady, but knew someone that did, and started asking question. Guess what, it was the same man. I was devastated, I didn't believe it at first, but reality set in. I walked away from the situation, and never looked back. I ignored his calls and his e's. I have since met a very special man, and we're getting married in Dec. So even though the story is sad, and happens quite often, there are happy endings, and believe it or not there is life after the net. Please understand I'm not bad mouthing the net, I still go in and chat with some of the friends I've made, but I think people should be aware that not everyone is a friend, and not everyone is honest. So pick your friends carefully. Well that's my story, I hope I didn't bore you, and I hope someone will learn from it *S*. Take care all, and have a good life, both on and off the net.
