The Phone Call By: Jessica Jackson
Minding my own business there I was studying intently the pathology of adolescents and my phone rings. Some male voice asks for me and then says, Youre the recipient of a fantasy phone call from a friend.  She said youd kill her for doing this! Sure enough after 5 guesses -- my best friend Nicole in Texas. In addition to this fantasy call I get a $100 gift card from Mall of Louisiana. Surely you have the wrong Jessica. He replies, Are there any other Jessicas at this phone number. Mystery man has a point. Id like to pause here and explain that my notion of this fantasy call was well G-rated. He informs me that hell ask me some questions and then I can ask him anything I want. He starts off with where Im from (Texas) and how old I am (22) and what I do for fun (read). I ask him where hes from in turn (hes from Texas also, and coincidentally Houston!) and hes 24. I ask what part of Houston he lived inI went for the county insteadLubbock County. Theres not one to my knowledge.  I start drilling him on Texas trivia. My plan is foiling. So I think he must be legit. Well the questions go from hey where are you from to what are you wearing. Its irrelevant but say Im African American. Well hes not in the least bit deterred by this. The next question is whats important to you? My reply is God. I have piqued his interest. Asks if anything traumatic happened to make me turn to God. How absurd! No I was strung out on drugs and heard God speak, beckoning me to salvation. He also believes in God, interesting. His turn--hes pretty persistent and asks what I look like, telling me start from your feet and work you way up. When I refuse to he says, Im gonna talk dirty to you for awhile. What?! You mean PHONE SEX?!! I nearly drop the phone. So its a build your own fantasyno wonder he said I could ask him anything I wanted! But I recovered! I ask him if his phone sex conflicts with the morality principles taught in the Bible. Nope, it sure doesnt. Im doing it to help out a friend. In hindsight I dont know what friend or what kind of help this was but no telling. I rambled on about Christ. Thats how it went untilyep you guessed it! He hung up on me! I definitely felt slightly cheapened by the experience and wondered how I attract the freaks of the world.
