Ladies, picture this scenario. You will be able to picture it because you know it all too well, unfortunately. Your heart is racing. Your palms are sweaty. Your blood pressure is 200/97 and you are a raging fire inside. No, it's not food poisoning. You're waiting for the guy you like to call, because he said he would, and it's midnight and he hasn't called yet! Sound familiar? Unfortunately, this is the story of my life!! The guy says he's gonna call and I am thinking that maybe he will do what he says and actually call. It's way past my bedtime and he hasn't called yet, so I call my best friend and gripe for an hour. |

As soon as I swear him away for the rest of my life, my phone rings and what do you know? His name is on my caller ID. UUUUGGGHHH!! I act like I haven't been waiting for 5 hours to call, but my anger seeps through. I ask "So I was thinking that you were gonna call at 7. I guess you got caught up with something." (In my sweet I'm not mad voice) And then bonehead says, "Oh, I was supposed to call you then? Hmm, well I was chillin with my boys and I guess I lost track of time." or "I lost my phone." or "Well I called, and that's all that matters right?" Sorry Prince Charming, it's not alright for you to call us 5 hours after you say you will!! Also, girls go crazy when you wait for 3 days or whatever your stupid rule is. If you like a girl, just call her! You're not gonna lose anything, you don't have her in the first place. And if she is your girlfriend, then shame on you for not being reliable. I promise you will not be laughed into no-friend-land if you are reliable. And here's a little secret: Girls will like you more if you are prompt to call. Don't call every five minutes, but just enough to let her know you are thinking about her. Just swallow the pride and call on time, she'll thank you for it later, I'm sure! |
