I Promised You


Longing fear of fertile ground,
 To raise a love I have found,

Lost in the past a time ago,
I find myself in a wish I know.

Being true forever more;
Forever it seems I still adore.

With the memory of you still strong;
In sadness I sing a long.

For a wish can never be;
My heart will always see.

I shall move on and give my love,
In your name and the lord above.
