It was there that I rediscovered my desire to be a fitness instructor and became certificated by AFAA as a group instructor. Arriving at University of Delaware, I taught kickboxing classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition, I taught yoga at the Village Gym in Middletown, DE. Now I'm taking a break from teaching as we wait for Lukababy to arrive. Still I'm takign pre-natal exercise classes, as well as doing pre-natal yoga nad pilates, and once a week run or swim.
Part of this journey was becoming a runner. I have always been active but didn't like running. As I lost weight, Karl and I started to increase our mileage and before you knew it, we were competing in 5k races. And placing in my age group. Below you will find the races we have been part of and our times.
2004 was a tough year though with injuries and physical therapy. After the Luka baby is born, I will be returning to compete in races. Karl is still going strong and will be training for a marathon.
