Nuggies.
There is not a Day that has gone by that we have not thought of our young friend Nugget. Although his life with us was short, there was no one that his unflappable young charm could not touch.
Nugget was a Month Early, and thought to have had the Umbilical Cord wrapped around his back legs, and when he was born, there was no Circulation in them, and the tissue began to break down. Mitch and Deb literally slept in the barn, and worked night and day with him. In the end, it would never be enough, and the heart rendering decision was made that was better off not in this world.
* Kudos to Mitch and Deb for going above, and beyond it all for a chance, and when it came down to it, for also being responsible horse Owners...
