Laterose the mousemaiden walked along the forest. Maybe it wasen't a good idea to run away from home but her brother Marcel was just unberable. Besides, She was quite skilled with her father blade witch she had took.
She stopped a moment to take a rest. Suddenly, Laterose heard a sound behind her. She turned around slowly to face a Wildcat.
"Hello," said the wildcat. "I'm Demenshia. Who are you?"
"I I'm Llaterose," The warriormaiden managed to stammer. "And I was born in the middle of a hurricane! The first sound I heard were the claps of thunder that filled the sky! WILDCATS BEWERE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! FOR I AM LATEROSE!!!!!" The young mouse continuned remember her father's sword on her back and gaining confindence.
"Doughtful that any of that is true," Replied Demenshia plainly board. "I've heard that a hundred times before and they all became my dinner," She continued seeming highly interested in her claws. "How would you like to travel with me?" The wildcat continued.
"I'd love to," Said Laterose still a little surprised the cat had shone no fear. "When do we start?"
"We'll make camp here for the night as it's pretty late. We'll start off first thing in the morning," Demenshia said starting to make a small fire.
"Okay," said Laterose starting to help Demenshia.
Laterose woke up the next morning to birds attacking her.

Laterose was stunned. She didn't know what to do. Demenshia was screaming and bitting and kicking trying to get the birds off of her. Suddenly she remembered her father's sword.
"BIRDS BEWARE!!!" She screamed weilding the sword. "I AM LATEROSE!!! BORN IN A HURRICANE WITH LIGHTNING AS THE ONLY LIGHT!!!" She yelled over the melee still wielding her sword.
A large crow who had spotted the sword shouted, "Retreat. craw. she has a blade. craw."
"But boss-" tried a younger crow.
"NO!" screamed the larger crow. "RETREAT NOW!" He yelled frightning all the birds into flying into different directions.
Once all the birds were gone, Demenshia limped over to Laterose. "Are you all right?" she asked.
"I'm fine just a few scra- oh no. Your hurt," Said Laterose noticing Demenshia's limp.
"I'm fine. Let's get moving. We probally invaded the birds territory," said Demenshia hurriedly.

After a few days the two young maidens became wonderful friends. On the fourth day of there travelings Demenshia asked," Why are you in the forest? Shoulden't you be with your friends and family?"
"I ran away from home," answered the mousemaiden like that explained everything. "And you? Why aren't you with animals you know?"
"My father was mean and one day ran away leaving my mother to cope with a young me. My mom was slayed by a mouse named Marcel when she asked for sheltor for me during a snow storm and I never had any friends," answered Demenshia quikley.
"Oh. I'm sorry," said Laterose quitley.
"Don't be. It's not your fault," said Demenshia a tear running down her cheek.
"No. Really. I'm so sorry. Marcel is my brother," said Laterose now intently studding the ground. "But I'll be your friend," She added quickley seeing the horrified look on her friend's face.
"Thanks," the wildcat said a feble smile on her face. I have a surprise for you in the morning but right now let's have dinner!"

The next morning Laterose was awakened by by Demenshia softly pushing her. "Follow me," said the wildcat.
Laterose did as she was told following Demenshia even though she was still half asleep.
Demenshia leaped behind a pedestal. The young mousemaiden looked up at the pedestal anxiously. It turned ever so slowly and upon it was a beatiful necklace. It was a flat red ruby with a beatiful rose carved on it.
Demenshia poked her head out from behind the pedestal and said, "I hope you like it. This is your surprise I mentoined."
Laterose couldn't say anything for a moment then said, "Like it? I love it! It's wonderful! It's marvelous! It's superb! It's-"
"Oh shut up or I'll eat you," interupted Demenshia.
"Okay," answered Laterose quikley. "Um Demenshia? Would you mind if I stayed with you while you traveled?" She asked unsurly.
    "Of course!" grinned Demenshia.
