| After Sheree got hurt, Kevin "inherited" Chip. In this sequence of photos he is working Chip in the round pen. The objectives of this lesson is for Chip to consistently respond to instruction while saddled. |
| 1. Here, Chip is "running away". A little bucking and snorting. He's throwing a little "horse tantrum". |
| 2. A few minutes later, Chip is slowing down. His inside ear is on Kevin. He's showing signs that he's willing to "listen" and respond to instruction. |
| 3. About 30 minutes later. Kevin had slowed Chip down, gotten him to start, stop, and make direction changes on demand. Here Chip is following him around the pen without a rope or halter. Note Chip's posture and ears. He is relaxed and ready to do more work. |
