Amiboshi is a gentle, reserved, and kind boy. He is very thoughtful and follows his heart. Amiboshi is sensitive to the people around him and does his best to provide cheer. Amiboshi can be protective and naive, but his good heart carries him through just about any situation he encounters.

Holding hatred for war in his heart, Amiboshi often questions the motivations of battle. Kutou Country was always at war, and at the time Amiboshi was a little boy, he and his brother Suboshi lost their parent. The two little boys could only stare in horror as their mother and father were slaughtered on their doorstep. Amiboshi raised Suboshi himself, and both were affected by the difficulties of poverty. Amiboshi grew understanding, kind, and wise through his hard life, and desired to put an end to war so there would be no more sad children like him and his brother.
Amiboshi is a strong, good-hearted young man, who holds deep regrets at being born a Seiryuu Seishi in his heart. He truthfully wishes he could have been a Suzaku Seishi and share a part in their destiny.
