| Hearts for Horses was founded in 2004 to build bridges between children with Down's Syndrome and horses. This is NOT a therapuetic program, it has been designed as a way for these children to have some good, old-fashioned fun! Participatation is by appointment only and all parents must sign a waiver of liability before participating. Stay tuned for more news! If you'd like to be added to our mailing list so you can be notified about upcoming events, please send an email and ask to be included. For more information please email John Colang This program is NOT a therapy and we make no claims along those lines. This program is staffed 100% by volunteers from our local community. Events are open to all local families in the Down's Syndrome community. There is no charge for any of our events. Donations of safety equipment (helmets, harnesses, etc) Food and Drinks, and carrots or Hay are greatly appreciated but not required. Parents are invited to carefully consider the potential risks before signing the liability waiver. We do everything possible to keep the participants safe but accidents can happen. PLEASE CONSIDER THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES before you agree to participate. We applaud our couragous cowboys and cowgirls! SAFETY FIRST! Helmets and Liability Waiver Required. |
