YYH Summary

Yu Yu Hakusho

Yu Yu Hakusho begins when the hero, Urameshi Yusuke, gets hit by a car and dies. Botan, the grim reaper, tells him that the Underworld (also known as the Spirit World or Reikai) had decided to give him a second chance at life. After seeing how many people missed him, Yusuke decided to take the chance and was ressurected after passing a few trials given to him by the prince of the Spirit World, Koenma Daioh. Now that Yusuke had returned from the dead, he has been recruited as a Spirit Detective to investigate crimes in the Human World (Ningenkai) that have something to do with the other worlds.

Yusuke's first case was to catch 3 crooks who stole the Dark Artifacts from the Spirit World vault: Goki, Kurama, and Hiei of the Evil Eye.
