Gather around Children
I'm going to tell you a story
about all the gifts underneath
the Christmas tree
There's gifts for you and for me

First a book of riddles of
hi diddle diddle, the cat
in the fiddle
and the cow that
jumped over the moon

Under the tree is a gift from me
for little girls with Mothers curls
with the new Barbie doll that sings and twirls

And for the boys, we got BB gun toys
and the Tiger Joe Tank
and walkin' the plank
And of pirate ships loaded down
with lovely gifts



And look, there's another book that reads
I've been a puppet, a pauper,
a poet, a pawn and a king

That's what we think about Christmas, all over the USA
We love to have our Christmas in an old-fashioned way

So look there's another book
With words like Bethlehem, Savior's birth, rejoices,
snowy, snowy Christmas, an' Christmas eve,
Shepherd boy, little lamb, manger, mistletoe,
an' holly, gifts and under the Christmas tree



So that's what we think about Christmas
