Gentle forest wakens in the early morning light Misty shadows forming hues of soft fragrant delight ~ The whisper of the perfumed breeze a scent of bristled pine The sweetened spruce that lines the gorge an essence of divine. Water trickles softly through the misty path Over rocks and pebbled stones into the forest's heart ~ A shadowed coolness rests upon the gentle summer breeze That echoes through early morn and fragrance of the trees. A sweet array of beauty a whisper of delight A butterfly that flutters in purest softest flight ~ A tranquil overflowing amidst the birdsong melody As a radiance envelops the forest's harmony. Dispelling mist that leaves a trace of briskness in the air A touch that shades the summer sun from entering anywhere ~ And still the perfume of the trees that filters to beyond Cascading with the forest brook that lasts all summer long. Beauty in magnificence scented in the mist Awaken by the sheer splendour breathed by morning's kiss ~ A forest brook that flows beneath the rustic fragrant trees That line the gorge and brings renewal within the summer breeze.
