review on the album. All of which I own, so u know the review is staight from the
heart. |
Faces Of Death
This is Bones first album(1993) that so many people are trying to
killl me for. They where kown as B.O.N.E Enterpri$e before they changed it
to Thugs-N-Harmony. This album offers some serious underground hardcore
Bone Thugs songs. You can hear that unmistakable Bone Flow on song such as
"Flow Motion", "Bless Da 40 oz", and Ganksta Attitude. You can also
venture thru the sick-n-twisted minds of Bone on songs such as "Hell Sent"
where B.O.N.E raps about going to hell and killing satan, and "Sons of
Assassins" a song where Krayzie Layzie and Bizzy rap about why they are
some serious "Sons of Assassins".
Creepin On Ah Come Up
This is Bones second studio album realeased in 1994. This 4x
platinum spawned the 2 mega hits "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and Foe the luv
of $" feat. Eazy-E. This album was what put Bone Thugs on the sceane. On
this EP Bone Flow is better and faster, Flesh -N-Bone is also introducedd
on this album as Tha 5th Dawg. However the album lacked longevity due to
the fact that Eazy-E wanted to drop the album as soon as
possible.
E.1999 Eternal
This is Bones third studio album realeased in 1995. Named after
the street that Bone usta clang and bang on back in Cleveland. On this
album Bone took advantage of their studio time and made their first LP.
Some say that this is one of Bone greatst albums. Tragically Bones mentor
and founder Eazy-E died of AIDS complications before he could see Bone
gain International fame status. Bone soon remade the song "Crossroads" to
dedicate it to Eazy-E(R.I.P). The song "Tha Crossroads" became the fastest
rising single in music history, beating "The Beatles" record made back in
the 60's."Tha crossroads also won 2 Grammys. After this Bizzy Bone went on
hiatus.
Mo Thugs Family Scriptures.
This album is the first Mo Thug album realeased in 1996 which went
2xplatnium spawing 2 singles. The rappers on this Mo Thug roster are the
original Mo Thugs. Mo Thug was a collection of rappers that Bone knew from
back on the streets. Bone where the founders of Mo Thug but Krayzie and
Layzie where the two thugs running all the projects. This Album dropped 2
singles, "Thug Devotion" and "Take your Time". Mo Thug also offered some
serious new talent from Cleveland. II Tru, Tre, GraveYard Shift, Poetic
Hustlas, Souljah Boy,and Ken Dawg. This album also offered what Bone was
bringing from the get go, hard core thug shit.
Flesh-N-Bone T.H.U.G.S
Flesh-N-Bone was the first Bone member to drop a solo album in
1996, T.H.U.G.S went Platnium. The most noteable tracks are "World so
Cruel" feat. Reverand Run Sermon and "Nothin but Da Bone In Me". Bone fans
that I know said that this album was wack, because his beats were weak and
Flesh was rappin low and quite. But in my opinion, the album was average.
Some songs where weak and some where hot ta def. But on a scale of 1-10 I
would give 7. Overall its a good album. Some of my favorite tracks are Nothing
but the Bone in me, Sticks n Stones.
II Tru A New Breed Of Females
II Tru was the first group from Mo Thugs to realease an album on
Mo Thug Records. Sadly this album encouted problems. Sales where poor and
production was eventualy stopped. Although the album did have one notible
single and video "Baller Flossin".
Poetic Hustla's Trials And Tribulations
Poetic Hustlas was the second group to realease an album on Mo
Thug Records. Once again poor sales led to production haults. This second
blemish on Mo Thug was not what Bone intended. But the album still
realease 2 singles and videos "Day and Night" and title track "Trials and
Tribulations" in which Bizzy Bone appears on since the video "Tha
Crossroads".
The Art Of War
In 1997 Bone realeased the 3x Platnium "The Art Of War". This was
the first double album that Bone made. Following the double album kraz of
96-97. This album stem from the book "Art of War" that each Bone member
read and was inspired. The album attacked "bitters" or "clones" of the
Bone style. Crucial Conflict and Twista were hit hardest. This album
brought forth 2 singles and videos "Look In To My Eyes" and "If I Could
Teach the World". This album also brought the long awaited colaberation of
2Pac and Bone on the heated track "Thug Luv"
Mo Thug II: Family Reunion
In 1998 Mo Thugs Records realeased Mo Thug II Family Reunion which
features a whole line of new artist, Scant Bone, DJ Ice, Thug Queen,
Felecia, MT5, Potion, and Powder. Plus some of the original Mo Thugs
excluding Tre,and Tombstone(R.I.P). The album spawned 2 singles "Ghetto
Cowboys" and "All Good" This album went 2xplatnium.
Bizzy Bone Presents: Heavens Movie
Bizzy Bone is the 2nd Bone member to realease a solo album. This
album was realeased in 1998, and went Gold. Proving that Bone could sill
reach status with out the other members of the group. Bizzy Bone album had
no colabarations with his other Bone members. Bizzy also introduced and
showed off his up and coming label "7th Sign". The first sinlge "Thugs
Cry" was hot like a mother. His album also brought a personal side of
Bizzy Bone that no one really knew about. The next single "If Only U Knew"
depicts lil Bizzy being abused by his father. overall this album was quite
good including the hidden track that was quite a comical sketch by Bizzy
Bone.
The Collection Volume One
In Cristmas of 1998 to comemorate their sucess, Bone realeased The
Collection Volume One. This album/video set included all of Bones hits and
videos since "Thuggish Ruggish Bone". The CD collection featured song that
where pretty hard to find, and a bonus track "P.O.D". The video collection
offered all the videos that Bone realeased. Sadly the video collection
didn't have my favorite video "Dayz OF Our Lives". The video collection
stills gets point for adding a to mature for TV video "Buddah Lovaz".
Overall "The Collection Volume One" is a must buy for any Bone Thug fan.
Krayzie Bone Thug Mentality 1999
In 1999 my favorite Bone drop his solo album, "Thug Mentality
1999". Krayzie being the third Bone to drop a solo went 2x platnium.
Krayzie also brought forth three LP's worth of songs on a 34 track double
CD album. Leatherface album offered a varity of thug music with a ton of
colaborations, from big names like Big Pun, Snoop Dogg, Krupt,Treach and
Mariah Carey. The sawoff ganksta also show off the talent of his own up
and coming label "ThugLine Records." some of the faces from his label are
Bam, Relay, k-Mont, Asu and the krazie azz Knieght Rieduz.
BTNHRESURRECTION
Swarmed by rumors that Bizzy Bone was no longer part of Bone
Thugs, plus that fact that he never appeard on promotional apperances with
the group, fans though it was over. But Bone realeased
BTNHResurrection(2000) to prove that they didn't fall off or broke up.
This album produced some of the hardest hittin musiz I have heard since E.
1999. Tracks such as "Show Em, and "Mind on our Money" shows how each bone
members talent inproved. I was most shocked by Flesh-N-Bone who was
spittin flows like the late great Eazy-E on the track "Show Em". I am
anticipation that Flesh-N-Bone second solo will bring a new twist like the
one he put on BTNHResurrection.
Layzie Bone Presents: Mo Thug III The
Mother Ship
Under new command by Layzie Bone, Mo Thug takes a drastic change.
Intoducing a whole new line of artist, Mo Thugs has changed for 2000. The
only remaining original Mo Thugs is Ken Dawg. Mo Thug III music is more
hard core and in your face. The first single and video to appear from this
wild album was "Did he really Wanna?"-Desperidos and "This ain't
living"-Felicia. The album also features a kool track by J-Bone (Layzie's
son) and father Layzie Bone in which they rap about killing cops in the
back yard.
Flesh-N-Bone 5th Dawg lets loose
While serving time in Prison,Flesh some how found time to put out his
Second album titled "5th Dawg Lets Loose". LIke his previous albums flesh
comes with dark beats, twisted melodies, an quick tounge flows. Some of my favorite
Tracks of this album include, Hero, Way back, an Deadly. All in all this album
is pretty solid but it is not in heavy rotation in my CD player. I give it a 6 out of 10
Bizzy Bone The Gift
The Higly anticipated Solo Album from Bizzy Bone, was finally dropped, in late 2001
the album has alot of hard hitting tracks. This heated album which Bizzy does entirly by himself(no guest appearance)
was very perosnal an informative to the situation that many people wanted to know; Where is Bizzy?
some tracks on the album tell of Bizzy's struggles as he came up in the music industry, an why he would never appear at any shows. Some of the best tracks off the album include, Murdara, Don't doubt me, an Father. This album i believe is the best work i have seen from Bizzy since his hiatus from the group after crossroads.
Layzie Bone Thug-By-Nature
Another Highly anticipated Bone Solo that i thought would never come out. This album i would consider
to be average, yet still worth playing. The beginning of the album is really hyped up an full of energy, with songs
such as battlefield, Deadly Musical, an make my day. After about the 14th track the albums slows an lose that adrenaline
rush that it had at the beginning. Overall the album is a good effort from L-Burna, but it could have been better.
Krayzie Bone Thug on the Line
Tragically this album came out so close to the 9/11 attacks that i dread loooking at the cover of this album.
But one should never judge a book by its cover. After listening to Thug On the Line, I sat down an said to my self is this
the Thug Congregation album that was suppose to come out by Krayzie's group Thugline or is this a Krayzie Bone Solo. But then i look back on his last album an how many guest appearances he had an said yea this is a solo(LOL a Krayzie Bone solo).
Anyway Krayzie Bone being my favorite I can't help but say this album got super heavy rotation for those long night's home.
only a few really good tracks are present on the album but out of the few the best would be, Talk to my self, da thugs, I don't Give a fuck, an Everybody wanna be thugs. None of the Thugline artist really make me wanna go out an start a riot like Krayzie lyrics inspire me to do, but they were pretty good. Overall the albums is below average for a Krayzie Produced album.
Thug World Order
FINALLY A BONE ALBUM after 2 freaking years we have all waited to see if Bizzy will be with the group,
we all waited to see if the rumors were true, an when the album came the dust settle, an from what i am hearing now bizzy is out the group( until they drop another album)Anway back to the topic at hand I didn't anticipate this album at all since
most of it was on the net a few weeks maybe months before the album dropped. This album at first listen seem like a really put together project, All the songs i will actually listen to with out having to skip one, no matter what mood i am in. Except for the fact that bizzy seems to be really off topic on some of the songs, But if u listen to his verse, Bizzy has a deeper meaning on all of the songs, U just have to listen. The first single off the album was Money money(yes bizy is in the video), which got no Air play on BET or MTV. The next single released is Home feat Phil collins, the song is really inspirational, an informative.(No bizzy is not in the video an his verse is gone). Right now T.W.O is the onle Album getting heavey rotation in my CD player, until the next big album. Until then thanxz for droppin in... la8er
