Tina came to us unexpectedly after she finished her title at a young age. She stole our hearts with her sweet and wise ways. We are grateful to her and to her breeders, John Gammon and Robert Schroll. Tina, bred to good Maramond dogs, gave us a formal start as the foundation of Laylagrove Cavaliers. Heart clear until late in life, she was healthy and happy in many ways until the last weeks of her life. |

Tina was treated to "fancy" cuts and gravy foods at the end of 2006 and beginning of 2007. No veterinarian linked her illness to her diet at first, but the many pet food recalls of 2007 finally showed us, and her vets, the truth. It was too late for her. Other veterinary findings were incidental. No wonder they could not find the cause for her initial illness: it was in the internationally known foods we gave her. Some were brands she had eaten for years, but the food had become contaminated. Tina, we are so sorry and miss you! |
