Mirror, Mirror

I hate what I see,
But I can't look away.
If I look a little longer,
Will perfection remain?
The harder I look,
The more hideous I become.
An obsession I can't escape,
My mind is overcome.
Don't ask what's wrong,
You'll never know.
You have nothing to fear
For your flaws never show.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Why can't I be
The fairest of them all?

It doesn't matter what I say
Or even what I do.
The way I look is
What matters to you.
I try my best to change,
To look the way you want me to,
But my best isn't good enough,
For the differences are few.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
I'll never be
The fairest of them all.
