Everyone fears something.
They fear the game they haven't won, And the tears they haven't cried. They fear the answer to when. They fear the question why.
They fear the things they haven't felt, And the words they haven't read. They fear the ones they've never met, And the day they'll end up dead.
They fear the ghosts in the room upstairs, And the second the sun disappears. They fear the thought of being impaired, And the songs only deaf people hear.
They fear the things that they dream of, And the chance they don't want to take. They fear the day they fall in love, And they fear the chance their heart will break.
Everyone fears something.
