Fragile Treasure

Cotton candy clouds
Float in a turquoise sky.
Seagulls hover weightlessly
As softly they cry.
Icy waves fall on the sand.
I search the shore
Driftwood here,
Seaweed there.
I search once more.
Sun sinks low
And this emptiness
Still deeper grows.
I cannot leave
Till my treasure I find.
Your presence is here
Inside my mind.
Like a sudden epiphany,
My treasure I see.
Made fragile by time
And relentless tide,
I gather you close,
My fragile treasure,
The one I love most
Without any measure.
Forever close to my heart
Is where you'll be,
Sent from Heaven above,
A treasure to me.
