Dusk is fading And night will fall-- Sleep eludes me. In my mind I feel their eyes Watching from the Window I turn and rise from This dreamless sleep And float to the Window Where faces linger Like lost souls. Familiar surroundings Have been replaced By nothing more Than empty space A black hole Devouring all it touches Till only my window Remains. Fingertips pressed to the pane I reach out for them, They seem familiar In the unfamiliar oblivion Of empty space.
