Broken Mirror

Come a little closer
Test your sanity
Look into my broken mirror and
Tell me what you see

Dead eyes, sallow cheeks
Holes where teeth should be
Yellow fingernails
Listless, dirty hair
Sagging skin and protruding bones
A skeleton left for the worms

That's not you
Oh, how I wish it were

The lifeless soul is me
But you�re not completely innocent
You made me this way

Come a little closer
Close enough to see
The monster you have made
I used to be like you
Perfect in every way
And then you had a realization

I had outdone you

It was then that you decided
To break my mirror

I�ll forgive you
When you put the shards back together.
Until then, admire your creation.
Don�t be so afraid.
I�m only everything you never want to be.
