Addiction

You've become my addiction,
A dangerous drug, a fatal affliction,
An overdose of you would undoubtedly be
A lethal injection
No antidote could heal.
The sight of you, I drink it in...
A deadly intoxication;
Your love is my poison.
One taste of you just wasn't enough.
Like a user from the street,
A broken, wounded soul,
I beg for another hit.
You are in me now,
In my blood like an incurable disease...
This dizzying rush in my head
Makes me plead...for escape,
For release, for an end to this obsession,
This addiction that is you.
