The young woman sighed as she stared out the

crystal paned window, stirring her drink absently as

she gazed at the Solar System. What a beautiful galaxy.

Stars twinkling like jewels, the universe sprinkled with

magic.

Universe... When was the last time she'd been

called upon to don her war name? The lovely, daring

Sailor Universe... sister to the equally fair and

lovely, but slightly more hard hearted, Sailor Galaxy.

The Guardians of Guardians, protectors of protectors,

they made sure that the Sailor Senshi, warriors of peace

and justice - ensured the well-being of the Galaxy,

while Sailors Universe and Galaxy made sure that all was

in it's right place, at the right time, ensuring that

the right guardians survived and lived on.

For reasons unknown even to them, the two

sisters remained legendary only, still considered to be

a myth, to even the Lunarians. Only the graceful and

powerful Queen Serenity of the Moon, and their cousin,

Sailor Pluto, the Guardian of Time, knew of their existence

beyond doubt. That they knew of, that is.

"Cabin fever edging in, sister?" A sweet,

melodious voice asked from behind. Princess Universia,

as was her name, turned to face her sister, Princess

Galaxcia, as the slender, white haired young woman -for

all appearances- approached the glass table, the only

furniture in the room save the two chairs.

"You could say that," Universia sighed. "I know

that all this peace is good, but sometimes I wish

SOMETHING would happen. I hate being stuck here day

after day, nothing to do."

"I know, Versia, but this is our duty,"

Galaxcia sat in the other chair, waving her hand as she

did so and produced for herself a steaming cup of hot

chocolate, a favorite beverage of hers from Earth.

"Duty, shmooty," Versia grumbled. "You know,

Laxa, we need a vacation."

            "Yes, but-"

"And don't start with the duty thing, again."

Versia held up a hand. "You want it just as much as I

do. I mean, what are the chances that we'd be attacked

NOW? The one time in over three thousand years that we

choose to take a holiday?" She sipped her stardust tea

-a drink from the Moon- "Besides, I hear that the

Neptune Beaches are wonderful this time of year. I've

seen it through the viewing crystals, but I'd like to

check it out for myself."

Galaxcia -Laxa- sighed in defeat, tossing up

her hands after setting the steaming mug down and leaned

back in her chair. She chuckled and was soon laughing.

When she stopped, she looked at her sister with

sparkling silver eyes. Versia's own gold eyes were

dancing as well as she brushed back a strand of her

black-hole shade of black hair.

Laxa waved her hand in the air again, and in a

swirl of pearlescent and silver sparkles, two slips of

paper with stamping and writing on them appeared.

"Two round trip tickets to the Mirage Beaches

of Neptune," she said merrily, laughing. "Oh, and we're

already packed."

"Yes!" Versia leaped up and punched the air with

a fist. And with the sudden movement, their splendid,

luxurious gowns spun of darkmatter silk and starlight

satin vanished in puffs of glittering smoke, revealing

outfits of simple, but well sewn summer dresses over

flattering black and white bikini's.

"Ya know what?" Laxa said suddenly. "Forget

taking the space-plane; I don't wanna wait!"

"Yeah! Let's go!" Versia cried, latching onto

Laxa's wrist and jumping up. Both girls clasped their

Light Crystals about their necks and concentrated,

aiming their thoughts to a secluded spot on the Royal

Beach of Neptune. In a flash of swirling black and

white, glitter and sparkles, smoke and puffs, the

Sailor Guardians, the Protectors of the Protectors of

the Universe, vanished.

Lights flashed, glitter subsided, and smoke

cleared. The two near-immortals gazed upon a lovely

beach, albeit an unusual one, given the sand was a

strange crimson color, the trees more blue than green,

but still a beautiful beach.

"Look at the ocean!" Laxa breathed. "Every

second I'm here I'm even more glad I came."

"Oh, yeah," Versia smiled. "This is the life!"

The raven haired half-goddess sighed in delight as she

called upon her powers and retrieved a beach chair.

"It's about time we got to rest!" Versia added

as she leaned back in the chair, folding her hands

behind her head.

"You said it, sister!" Laxa smiled and conjured

up her own chair and sat as the two girls laughed.

Then, suddenly, their laughter stopped as dark

green smoke with swirls of maroon red began billowing

up around them. With a muffled shriek from Versia, the

Sailor Guardians vanished.

And the end of everything began it's countdown.

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

"Hey! What's the big idea?" Versia shouted as she

found herself standing in an all too familiar place.

"What is it THIS time?" Laxa growled angrily,

waving away the eternal white mist that clouded the

landscape. Squinting through the smoke, the two girls

could barely make out a figure through the whiteness,

coming towards them, key shaped staff in hand.

"That you, Pluto?" Laxa called, caution in her

light voice. Her hand, as well as Versia's, went to the

Light Crystals at their throats, the gems pulsing ever

so lightly at their mistress's touch. Both girls

ready to instantly transform if need be.

As they watched, a tall, solidly built yet

slender woman appeared through the mist, a long, wrought

silver key shaped staff in her hand, topped by a large

garnet sphere.

"Princess Setsuna, Sailor Pluto, Guardian of

Time, just WHAT do you THINK you are doing????" Laxa

exploded. If anyone didn't like not being in control

-at least slightly- of anything, it was her.

"If I were you I'd be thanking me" Sailor Pluto

said standing in front of the obviously furious original

scouts. For in their anger, Versia and Laxa had

transformed without realizing it, and now they stood

there in their warrior fukus, Laxa -now Sailor Galaxy-

clad in white and silver, and her sister Versia -Now

Sailor Universe- clothed in her colors of black and

gold.

"Thanking you for what, Cousin?!" Sailor

Universe demanded, hands on hips. "For ending our first

vacation in -here, let me count- 'um..."

"Three THOUSAND YEARS!" A steamed Sailor

Galaxy cried.

"I just saved your lives." Puu replied calmly.

"Oooooh, I hate it when you're that calm! You

just make me so much more- what?!" Universe stopped

mid sentence as Puu's coment sunk in.

"Are you serious?" Laxa asked. "Wh...what did

you save us from?"

"You two, myself, and Queen Serenity are the

only ones who know of the Dark Kingdom having its eyes

on our solar system, right?"

"Of course," Universe narrowed her eyes. "What

does that have to do with anything?"

"The Dark Kingdom attacked while we were gone,

didn't it?" Galaxy breathed suddenly, as Universe drew

in a sharp breath. Puu nodded.

"The Dark Kingdom now has its clutches on

Earth, as well as the rest of the planets. The only one

left is the Moon."

"Well, we have to go help!" Galaxy cried,

gripping the crystal on her front, silver bow, ready

to solo teleport.

"No!" Sailor Pluto whipped her staff out and

held Galaxy's hand down. Looking up at their older

cousin in surprise, they heard Pluto sighed.

"Let me tell you the story." With that, Puu

began telling of how the Moon Kingdom must fall, and

what would happen in the future if it did not.

As she finished, Sailor Galaxy and Sailor

Universe both had tears in their eyes, as did the

guardian of time.

"But...but we have to help!" Galaxy cried,

tears streaming down her face. "We have enough power

to save them!"

"Yes, you do," Pluto said calmly. "But like I

just said, it is necessary, and you are needed in the

future, more than you are needed here. Your mission is

to join the Senshi in the future against evil so

great that they would be as flies against a giant. You

are needed there, to help them save the Universe."

As Puu finished, they were sitting down in

chairs made of mist. And in swirls of light, the

Sailors were gone and there was simply Setsuna,

Galacxia, and Universia.

Finally realizing that the Silver Millennium

was gone, Versia put her head in her hands, and cried.

            "It's all my fault. If I hadn't wanted a

vacation, this would have never happened." She said,

tears running down her face.

"That's not true. This would have happened

regardless. Don't blame yourself for something that

couldn't be avoided!" Sailor Pluto consoled her broken

cousin.

"Besides, I really didn't do anything against

this," Laxa said, wrapped strong arms around her

sister. "It's as much my fault as it is yours, if it's

our fault at all."

"When...when do we leave?" Versia asked,

containing herself and standing tall, her sister beside

her. When something had to be done, she made sure it

got done. They were ready, and Puu smiled.

"Now is the time. I will send you to the

future one thousand years. You must find the Senshi

and-"

"How can the Senshi be alive? I thought that

the Silver Millennium is doomed!" Versia asked,

puzzled.

"It is." Pluto acknowledged. "But in her death,

Queen Serenity will have just enough to send the

Princess, the Earth Prince, and the Senshi into the

future. They will have no memories, but eventually

Luna, the Royal Cat Advisor, will awaken them. By the

time you join them, they will be much more powerful

than they are now, and much more experienced. But beware;

they do not have many memories from this time, and the

Outer Senshi are extremely protective and untrusting. You

may have trouble getting them to trust you.

"But time is short. Now go. I will grant you

safe travel through time, and from there, you know what

to do."

"Yes, and thank you for everything. We WILL

destroy the evil!" Versia said with determination

written on her face.

"One thing," Laxa spoke up for the first time

in several minutes. "Is our kingdom still intact?"

"Yes. When this is over you may return if you

choose to do so."

            "Alright. Let's boogie!" Laxa said.

*Leave it to her to get excited over a very

serious war.* Versia thought, smiling slightly.

"Alright, let's go and get it over with."

Versia sighed and they left in a flash of light.

Their destination: Tokyo, Japan. In the year 1995.

Mission: Defeat the enemy and save the Universe.
