| February 12 2002 My Page being so unsuccesfull (*chuckle*. . .I know I suck! . . .It's allright. . .), I decided to post my own personal comments on the show here. Will anyone ever read it? Maybe not. But I love writing and I will continue to do so. Last night's show was SO funny! It had so many elements of season one that we know and love. The halucinations, the fantasies, the humour. . .it was simply DELIGHTFUL! Whether or not the show will survive to see a 6th season remains to be seen, but i ask one question: Is it really necessary to get Larry back? Last week, this question would have gotten a quick response from me: "Are you CRAZY? Of course we need Larry. He is our only hope!" Today, however, is much different. If David E. Kelley can continue to produce the kind of writing he has produced for the past two episodes, there is no need for a publicity stunt such as RDJ. Think about it: The ratings for the past two weeks have gone up dramaticly! We should not exclude the possibility that it was caused by a) John Bon Jovi or b) Ally's daughter, but the ratings have nonetheless gone up! And if people begin to watch again, word to mouth may increase the show's buzz to something similar to what it used to be. Critics are already being nicer to the show. This IS a beginning. With John's departure, this could be compromised. Peter MacNichol won an Emmy, and was the show's best asset. With his departure, we can only count on JonBon, who in a few episodes will be gone (possibly forever). Is this the end, or a new beginning? E-Mail me at [email protected]. |
