I'll play that record again,
and I'll think of you.
I should have killed you when I had the chance.
Some things in retrospect seem better.
When you know what you know now,
you can survive a lot of pain.
If I killed you when I met you
I'd probably be out by now.
Instead I'll play that record again,
I'll be thinking of you.

There's some sad songs that've been sung.
I think I've sung them all by now.
When am I ever gonna let you go?
Times only an endless circle;
Some of life's just wasted moments.

I'll be playing that record again
and I'll still be thinking of you.
I should have stopped you when I had the chance.
Ran you over or used a nuke or a rock or-
Looking backs a waste of time.
It's like living through the plague.
It really hurts to know you're not around,
to come and join me in a song.
Your throat within fingertip reach.

Maybe I shouldn't have taken the chance,
of being in your arms
and getting lost in all that love.
Maybe life's few wasted moments
make the others shine so much brighter.

I don't know what possessed me,
what demon came and let me
burn in the fires of your love
It's for a past life I must be paying.
Petty tyrants petty lies
I'd like to see you break out in hives
for tell all those lies.
I'll think I'll play that record again.
And I'll think - of you.
