About My Company
As far back as I can recall I have always had a profound interest in landscaping. By the age of five, I had already developed an interest in gardening that bordered on instinct. I would follow my parents around our yard with my little toy wheelbarrow, exploring and learning about the plants that encompassed our home. Throughout my life, I have spent the majority of my free time working on landscaping and gardening projects around our home, as well as projects for friends, and in recent years for clients.

I am presently 19 years old and I am
proud to have been part of the class of 2000, graduating from Kamiakin High School this last June. Throughout my High School career I expended a tremendous amount of effort towards
David with a friend and fellow classmate at the DECA national CDC 2000.
achieving academic excellence. Overcoming many challenges, I excelled at Kamiakin High School, making the most of every opportunity presented to me.

I was involved in DECA for three years. DECA, a national association of marketing education students greatly enriched my high school experience, providing me with many opportunities. My senior year I had the privilege of serving as our DECA chapter president, and earned the title of
Marketing and Management student of the year. I also benefited eminently from academic competition in DECA. Through literally hundreds of hours or self-directed study, and an advisory board of community leaders, I was able to author a comprehensive business plan outlining the startup of a large retail nursery and landscape contracting service located here, the Tri-Cities.

Extensive area and state DECA competitions eventuality led me to our national conference in Louisville, Kentucky where
my business plan ranked among the top 25 in North America. The year before, I had earned the right to attend the DECA National Leadership Development Conference in Orlando, Florida where I had the opportunity to expanded my leadership abilities.

Although I have overcome numerous obstacles and seen many successes in High School, I have fallen short of meeting one goal that I hold most dear to me.
I have been unable to continue my education solely due to the lack of funding. My educational goals are extremely realistic, and would have been affordable for any one of my friends. Growing up in a hard working middle class family I was taught that anything was possible, dream big and work hard, and everything will fall into place if it's meant to be. I have put my heart and sole into school thus far, giving everything one-hundred and fifty percent. I find it hard to believe that going on to college is not meant to be for me.

As I said before, my plans really are quite modest.
I want to pursue a two year technical degree from Spokane Community College and eventually work in the same trade that both my dad and grandfather did. I would have liked to attend Columbia basin College, our local community college, in order to cut costs, but my degree option is not available locally. And furthermore CBC does not offer classes that are transferable towards my degree.

When you use my lawn care service or allow me to assist you with other landscaping needs, you are not only getting
top quality service, which I provide to the absolute best of my abilities. But you are helping me fund my future, and in turn helping the community as a whole. I really hope you consider allowing me to serve you!
