After viewing this page, some of you may be asking yourselves why LRS uses such old equipment instead of the latest and greatest?? Well to end the confusion, LRS uses a 1999 John Deere GT-235 Garden Tractor for its mowing tasks, it is an acre taker, it cuts great, and can cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time, and the 1966 AC Big Ten is the backup, however small grading jobs can be performed with the Big Ten and its straight blade. The AC Big Ten is built like a tank and is very reliable, and therefore holds its own in the LRS Fleet. The 1969 John Deere 140 is gradually being restored as time becomes available. LRS has several other machines that are currently being reconditioned into a serviceable condition, which will gradually be introduced into service as they become ready. |
