Epiphany Of Love |
It hurts so much to feel like this, |
My heart and soul are bleeding, |
I'm searching for the answers |
I'm crying, on my knees pleading. |
Everything I see is gray |
And the pain is all I feel. |
I tell you what you want to hear |
Because in reality nothing is real. |
The world we know is full of lies, |
All there is are these fu**ed up dreams. |
Fake smiles and the deception of love |
A place where nothing is what it seems. |
People are faceless wanderers. |
They go through life inanely |
Trying to understand their purpose |
Wanting to do everything sanely |
But they lose themselves in the lies |
They let themselves believe the facade. |
But I walk through this life knowing |
That this world is irrevocably flawed. |
I have no hopes for happiness, |
I understand the natural cycle of life. |
Human beings are not meant to be loved |
They are full of anger, hatred, and strife. |
Love is not what they all think it is, |
It brings pain and it brings heartbreak. |
They only see what they want to see, |
They only love for their own sake. |
They let themselves believe that love is possible |
But they, like the world they live in, |
Are flawed beyond repair, |
And my patience is running thin. |
I want to stand on the mountain top |
And tell the world their beliefs are in vain. |
Love is for the foolish, |
It yields nothing but pain. |
However, the human race is known to be foolish, |
And I, unfortunately, am I part of that race. |
My epiphany of love dissipates. |
Everyday that I put on my human face. |
