My
friends Joanna Birenbaum and Gary Hopkinson got married in a two-stage
affair in the summer of 2001. There was a lovely ceremony in their cute
little backyard of their new Toronto home and a couple of weeks later there
was a more formal reception. Here's just a few pix of the event.
The ceremony was in the backyard under the chupa. Both the rabbi and hazzan had guitars. There was singing, explanations and fine weather. It was a great ceremony without too much formality. |
After the ceremony there was champagne and pix in Kelly and Sam's rented convertible. There was no drinking and driving, however, it was more like sitting and posing. |
Sam, Gail and Kelly. All smiles after a good
feast at the ceremony.
What a cute couple. Joanna looks beautiful in that sari. |
I don't look quite as good as Joanna but this is the silk suit I had made espcially for all the big events I attended this summer. |
Hmm . . . the shining white ball with the
lips and red eyes is me, along with my high school pal Joanna at the end
of the reception festivities.
