      England 2006      
      Once again, I returned to England. But this time, I brought my neice Jennifer! I was so happy to be able to show my favorite country to my neice. She loved London and jumped right in to British culture. After spending 2 days in London, we flew up to Manchester and then took the train over to York. York is a beautiful city with so much history. The old wall around the city which dates back more than 1900 years, is neat to walk along. We also took a tour of Castle Howard which is just a big house with big rooms and lots of junk in them. The outside grounds are far more fun! York has awesome shopping (can you tell I like do that?). All my pictures can be found in my Yahoo Photo Album.      
             
      Germany-2005      
      I visited Germany in 2005 and flew into Berlin to spend 2 1/2 days. I both love and hate Berlin though. There is so much history and the Pergamon Museum is world-known, but it isn't a cosmopolitan city where you can browse and shop. That's one of the things I love about London. After visiting the Pergamon and seeing the Ishtar Gate (a dream of mine), the Bust of Nefertiti (In the Egyptian Antiquities - New Museum), the Brandenburg Gate and other historical places, I flew out of Berlin to Zurich, Switzerland. From Zurich, I rented a car and drove up to Schluchsee in the Black Forest. I visited Freiburg and Bodensee while I was there also.
